Treatment of Periodontitis

Periodontitis (or periodontal disease) has in recent years become widely known mainly from the final stage of development, that is the loss of teeth and secondarily because of troublesome symptoms that accompany such intense inflammation of the gums, bad breath, the disclosure of roots of the teeth and mobility.

Periodontitis is a disease of the tissues surrounding the tooth and support.

The symptoms of periodontitis at an early stage is approximately the same as intense gingivitis (several teeth).

Besides, periodontitis is considered to be evolution of generalized chronic gingivitis. Those elements that differentiate it in the beginning is a mere pocket in a tooth or stripping the root of the teeth (gums descend in the neck of the teeth or corresponding rise in case of upper jaw).

However is periodontal disease treated someway or maybe there is no cure?
The answer is that although complete elimination of periodontal disease there is probably no, though we can do much to reduce drastically the rate of destruction – loss of periodontal tissues.

That means that if, as for the early stages of evolution of the disease can be rapidly slowed, for the more advanced stages if we manage with periodontal treatment to keep even two five a.m. years and why not more teeth that were condemned to draw probably worth it.

Dentists are now making it clear that periodontitis is treated with such cooperation, however, the patient. This means that periodontal treatment has been successful when the patient follows and simultaneously after one treatment thorough oral hygiene program from now on for his entire life.

The simple conservative periodontal treatment is with injections all teeth and is essentially a deeper and more thorough cleaning (scaling) of teeth But in three or four sessions.
